as
long
as
he
could
remember,
he

been
enamoured
with
the
sound
of
waves
crashing
against
the
shore.
It
was
a
sound
that
could
transport
him
to
another
world,
a
world

he
was
free

dream
and
wander. Whenever
he
felt
lost
or
unsure
of
his
path
in
life,
he
would
close
his
eyes
and
listen
to
the
sound
of
waves.
It
was
a
constant
that
never
failed
to
ground
him
and
remind
him
of

bigger
picture. But

He

eyes,
disoriented
and
confused. It
was
just
a
dream,
he
told
himself.
But
the
unease
lingered,
and
he
couldn't
shake
the
feeling
that
the
sound
of
waves
would
never
sound
quite
the
same
again.
